Like last year, I am making some big decisions about how I want to record my vacation memories in this year's Project Life album. For me, part of the fun is thinking about the bigger picture / end result. As always, I am hoping to create a clean, simple and completed layouts. Completed layouts always feel great, right?
In addition to beginning with the end in mind, I also like having a structure in place helps to limit the decisions to make have to make post vacation. Let's face it - I need all the help I can get since we are moving 10 days after we get back from Cape Hatteras. So my second tip to documenting vacations using Project Life, is to select and set up the type of page protectors in your album BEFORE you go on your trip. Not only does the structure inform the type of photos I take, it also starts the process of scrapooking way before you print out pictures or journal on cards.
As always, I am going to keep things simple. This trip, I am going to document our vacation day-by-day using a combination of my favourite page protectors: 12x12, Design A and Design U inserts. I am still deciding on the core kits I am going to use. Look for a journaling card tip tomorrow.
Do you place your page protectors in albums before or after you go on vacation?
