Oh my! It feels like someone turned up the volume on Pickle's personality. Yes, this month, we continued to learn what girlie likes and doesn't like. We also learned how she acts when she doesn't get what she wants. So.Many.Tears. Given her persistence and emotional reactions now I am a little scared of what the future might bring. Yikes!
Girlie's attention span for reading books or watching Sesame Street videos has evolved. One glimpse of a book or tv and she is memorized. Girlie soaks up her screen time. She loves anything and everything to do with Elmo. Seriously, this video of Feist singing 1234 has gotten my through many trips to the grocery store.
Right now, Rowan channels lots of her energy into climbing couches and chairs. During drop off and pick up, girlie does not want to be carried, she prefers to walk on the sidewalk on her own. Girlie loves to hold index fingers especially when crossing the street or playing "ring around the rosie". She is particularly good at leading Grandpa around by his finger...
This month, we visited Dr. Linders, Pickle's pediatrician, who told us girlie is developing well. Right now she can can say 10 to 15 words including, Mama, Daddy, Charlie, Chelesa, cracker, cookie, broccoli and coffee.....can you guess who taught her the last word?
Oh Pickle - what a little lady you are becoming! It's hard to remember what those first few months together but I am glad I have some photographic evidence of days past.

On the 15th of every month, I take a picture of Rowan in a white onsie on our living room sofa. To help mark the passage of time and growth, I keep background elements similar. Whether you have a baby or not, you can photograph your family or loved ones using the same technique.
