WEEK TWO
Hello Colour, Hello Sweet Girlie!
This week was all about getting back into a routine after the holidays. It was also about spending some quality time together as a couple and family. And I also documented my never ending journey with the laundry.... seriously there is never shortage of laundry to do! Sigh.
In the above photo, I cut out the "So much to love" saying from a piece of mail I recieved from Shoppers Drug Mart, a pharmacy here in Canada. I love the slogan that they are using for one of their current campaigns. I added to a picture of Rowan playing with her toy strawberry and added a small wood veneer star from Studio Calico to dress it up.

This week, I used all orange journaling cards from the Project Life Seafoam kit. I limited the journaling cards to one colour so the pinks and purples in the photos would pop.
In PSE, I created a 6 x 12 layout that feature our week in review but also a "right now" segement based on this post. Since this will be a year long project, I intend to create the same thing in the upcoming months. Once the words typed up I printed them on white Bazzil cardstock.
TIP: Last year, I added alot bits of memorbillia to my album. I love those tiny bits, but I soon became a hoarder and it was hard to let anything go. This year my overal design goal for the album is to keep it clean and simple. Instead keeping the physical emphera I have decided to take pictures of them. My first step in this direction is a photo of the movie ticket to Zero Dark Thirty in the top right hand corner. Aaron and I actually had a date and this was fun way to document the outing.
WEEK THREE
Is it too early to pick favourites? This week's spread makes my heart smile. I love the photo that Aaron captured of Rowan in the library reading a book. Also great? The Banana Fish Studio tag I recieved in the Studio Calico's February Project Life kit. It is a lovely addition to the photo and exactly the sentiment I was looking for.

This week, I captured Rowan in action. Happy, sad, reading a book, clapping her hands and playing peekaboo - I love to watch her grow. Thank goodness she is a willing subject to be photographed! I also included my favourite drink, earl grey tea as well as photo that Aaron took of fabric samples for our new couch.
I used "I heart you" saying is from my Love FIller Cards and paired it with the long arrows from the February's main scrapbooking kit from Studio Calico. Seriously, I am loving all the wood veneer. And that rounds out the week.
Thanks for looking!
