I debated whether or not I would continue this monthly series on my blog. One part of me felt satisfied that I completed a full year; another part of me felt overwhelmed with the prospect of doing more. In the end, I have decided to continue on. I did it before and I can do it again - it doesn't take that much time. A few hours every month. Pickle is changing so fast and besides what else would I blog about? Ha!

Two weeks ago Pickle turned into a toddler. Yes, since her first birthday there have been many new and exciting milestones. Stair climbing, high fives, pointing to everything and calling it "gah". Plus she just seems longer: her hair, her legs and her attention span all seem to be developing at a record setting pace. More so than ever, Rowan is becoming a person on to her own.
As you can tell from this picture above, this Pickle is on the go, constantly. She will often chase Charlie around the living room and races from the kitchen to the front door. And did you notice the lovely "shiner" on her forehead. She runs and then immediately falls down like it's going out of style....love sigh.
If having a toddler who throws mini tantrums isn't enough, this month we had the "joy" of experiencing all four molars coming in a once. One tooth is bad enough, but FOUR AT A TIME !?! I do not wish that upon my worse enemy.
With added teeth, means added responsibilty of cooking a variety of meals. This working mama is definitely feeling the pressure. Every weekend we travel to grocery store, list/meal plan in hand. Thank God for leftovers....and scrambled eggs which continues to be Rowan's favourite meal.
This month, Pickle also tried chocolate for the first time. Aaron bought Rowan her very own advent calendar and after supper, she will often point to it as if to say, "Bring me my chocolate....now!" What can I say, Pickle is alot like her mother.
Other notable changes include: no crying at daycare drop off, no crying when it's time to get out of the bath and the most shocking to our systems: no morning nap! Rowan continues to be a great sleeper, so no complaining here!
